    I think the crowd has been fantastic during day one, but they are going to get excited tomorrow for Laura Muir and Josh Kerr who are both gutsy runners.

    Josh is coming out to prove another point ahead of Paris and it's going to get the crowd going tomorrow.

    I think it is a different position to be in as she is coming in asworld lead, in an event which is so strong.

    Caudery is so confident and is looking great, I am really looking forward to seeing her performances.

    Could we see a golden Scottish double in Glasgow tomorrow? Both Josh Kerr and Laura Muir will be aiming to delight the home fans in the men's and women's 3,000m tomorrow evening.

    In terms of impressive individual track performances tonight, Femke Bol's run in the 400m semi is right up there.

    She is through to tomorrow's final, where she has been joined (only just) by Laviai Nielsen of Great Britain.

  8. 'I am stepping into my prime'

    Men's 60m final

    American Christian Coleman, speaking to BBC Sport after winning the men's 60m final:"These opportunties don't come around often when you are feeling good and healthy. To come out on top is amazing and you never take it for granted, I look forward to the rest of the season."

    On his parents being present in the crowd: "They have been there from the beginning, my dad was my first coach and they have both been there from the start. It is an amazing feeling for them to see me do this on a world stage.

    "I have been working on and focusing on my weaknesses and getting on with it in my own way.

    "The main thing was to allow my body to naturally do what I have been coaching it to do.

    "I am excited. It is 2024 and I am stepping into my prime mentally, physically and spiritually. I am going to have to be on my A game and I feel confident I will be there [Olympics]."

    We are now hearing the Belgian national anthem following the women's pentathlon medal ceremony.

    Noor Vigts took gold, becoming the first woman to defend a world pentathlon title by winning back to back indoor crowns.

    Men's 60m silver medallist Noah Lyles, speaking to BBC Sport: "It was a great run, it was one of my best runs and 6.44 again - it's a second time running that and I am impressed with that.

    "What a great indoor season, I have never been to an indoor World Championships - so it's great.

    "It makes me so much excited as this is the worst part of my race.

    "I am ready to go outdoor and take this new found 60m ability and put it to the 100m."

    BBC's Jeanette Kwakye is about to speak to Noah Lyles, when the Canadian anthem starts in the women's shot put medal ceremony.

    Lyles declines to speak immediately, wanting to respect the anthem.

    "I hope someone would show that respect to my nation," he says.

    On 60m not being Noah Lyles preferred event...

    We all love doing things we are good at, but going to events we struggle at improves you overall as an athlete and it will help Lyles' 100m in the summer.

  16. Tomorrow's main events

    Morning session: 09:30-13:15 - BBC Two

    Highlights include the men's long jump final, men's and women's 800m semi-finals and the first three events from the men's heptathlon.

    Evening session: 18:40-22:15 - BBC Two; 20:15-22:00 - BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

    Eight gold medals will be claimed, with Laura Muir and Josh Kerr in the 3,000m finals at 20:15 and 20:40 respectively.

    Other finals include the women's pole vault, and Karsten Warholm and Femke Bol in the men's and women's 400m finals.

    Christian Coleman does this time and time again, he is faultless in the first 10m - it is textbook.

    The sport does need a head-to-head and Noah Lyles came out and it was a great spectacle.
